How to apply to teach
a class at Arts at Canal Place
1. Decide what you want to teach, the timeline,
the size limit, the age group and the cost for the class (include
a fee for materials if necessary).
2. Fill in the Application to
Teach a Workshop.
After you've received approval on your dates and times:
1. Make a payment form (see sample)
2. Make a flier to distribute to the community. (Jackie will
show an example at the meeting)
3. Give this information to the Education Committee, they will
pass this on to the Publicity Committee for newspaper release.
Copies of your class information will also be distributed to
the community.
Things to think about:
1. What dates /times will you offer?
2. How many sessions, one or many?
3. How many people?
4. Set a limit of maximum and minimum enrollment.
5. What age group?
6. How much will you charge per person?
7. Will you provide materials? What will you charge for them?
